To qualify for the ASEAN Scholarship, applicants generally need to meet the following requirements:
Citizenship: Applicants must be citizens of an ASEAN country. These countries include Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Applications are strongly encouraged from women, people with disabilities and marginalised group.
Candidates should demonstrate a strong academic record, typically with a grade point average that meets the eligibility criteria set by the participating Australian institutions. Both undergraduate and postgraduate programs are eligible for this scholarship.
As courses are conducted in English, applicants must meet the English language requirements of their chosen institution. This may include minimum scores on the IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent English language tests.
