The Environmental Justice in Technology (EJIT) Fellowship is now accepting applications for Summer 2025! This remote, 12-week program is designed for individuals passionate about environmental justice and technology. Fellows will gain hands-on experience in research, education, and creative interventions while leading impactful projects.
Each fellow will lead one transformative project while collaborating with others:
1. The Editor – GLITCH Digital Zine
2. The Researcher – Data Governance & Climate Justice
3. The Educator – Digital Educational Materials
4. The Creative – Cultural & Creative Interventions
Stipend: $3,000 (Flexible Payment Schedule)
Each fellow will receive a $3,000 stipend as financial support for their participation in the program. The stipend is distributed on a flexible schedule, allowing fellows to receive payments at intervals that best suit their needs.

The EJIT Fellowship follows a structured yet flexible application process, ensuring that all eligible candidates have ample time to apply and prepare for the program. Below is a detailed breakdown of the key dates and expectations:
The fellowship accepts applications on a rolling basis, meaning candidates are reviewed as they apply. However, all applications must be submitted no later than April 15, 2025, by 11:59 PM in any global time zone. Applying early increases your chances of securing a spot before the final deadline.
After the application window closes, a review process will take place. Shortlisted candidates will be notified by mid-May 2025 and may be invited for further discussions or interviews. This stage ensures the selection of passionate individuals who align with the program’s goals.
The fellowship runs for 12 weeks, beginning June 15, 2025, and concluding on August 29, 2025. While these are the official dates, the program offers flexibility, allowing fellows to tailor their schedules within the given timeframe to balance other commitments.
Fellows are expected to dedicate around 20 hours per week to their projects. This part-time structure allows for meaningful engagement while accommodating other professional or academic responsibilities. The program is designed to be flexible, enabling participants to work at their own pace.
The fellowship is 100% remote, making it accessible to applicants across different geographical locations. Participants will collaborate virtually using platforms like Slack, Zoom, and Google Suite, engaging with mentors and peers from around the world.
