The Global Health Corps (GHC) U.S. Leadership Accelerator is now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 cohort! This transformative, fully funded 9-month leadership program is designed for emerging public health leaders, equipping them with the skills, networks, and insights needed to drive meaningful change in health equity. What the U.S. Leadership Accelerator Offers

The U.S. Leadership Accelerator is more than just a leadership program—it’s an immersive journey aimed at strengthening your ability to create systemic change in public health. Through intensive training, mentorship, and a global peer network, fellows will gain:

Program Details

The U.S. Leadership Accelerator is a tuition-free hybrid program that includes both virtual and in-person learning experiences. Fellows must fully participate in all required components:

Learning Components

  • Virtual Workshops: Monthly 3-hour sessions during working hours.

  • Small Group Learning: Monthly 1-2 hour discussions.

  • Asynchronous Learning: 1-2 hours of self-paced study per month.

  • Optional Training: Webinars, networking meetings, and additional learning resources.

Coaching and Mentorship

  • 360° Assessment: A holistic review of leadership strengths and areas for growth.

  • Executive Coaching: Personalized one-on-one coaching.

  • GHC Staff Support: Guidance and mentorship from GHC professionals.

In-Person Engagement

  • Two In-Person Retreats: Fully funded 3-4 day immersive experiences.

  • Alumni Mentorship: Connections with experienced GHC alumni and partners.

  • Long-Term Integration: Lifelong membership in GHC’s global leadership network.

  • Collective and systems leadership

Application Process & Timeline

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until April 14, 2025. For the best chance of acceptance, apply by March 31, 2025.

  • First In-Person Retreat: Fall 2025.

  • Final In-Person Retreat & Transition to Alumni Community: Spring 2026.

Application Requirements

  • Submission of resume, references, and demographic information.

  • Short written responses to assess leadership potential.

  • A letter of recommendation from a current supervisor.


Eligibility Criteria

The U.S. Leadership Accelerator is tailored for emerging public health leaders working in non-clinical roles. Eligible applicants must:

  • Be 21-30 years old by September 1, 2025.

  • Be living and authorized to work in the U.S..

  • Work full-time in a U.S.-focused public health role.

  • Have at least six months of experience in their current role.


Who Should Apply?

GHC encourages applications from diverse backgrounds, especially those with lived experiences of health inequities. Ideal candidates include professionals working in:

  • Government health agencies

  • Community-based health organizations
