Bayer Fellowship Program 2025: Fully Funded Opportunity for Students & Professionals
The Bayer Fellowship Program 2025 is now accepting applications! This prestigious initiative provides funding for master’s, PhD, and medical students, as well as apprentices, early-career professionals, student teachers, and educators. Selected fellows will receive financial support to pursue international research projects, internships, and training programs, offering a unique opportunity to advance their academic and professional careers.
Who Can Apply? Eligibility Criteria
Scientific Fellowships

Fellowship in Drug Discovery Sciences
- Open to master’s and PhD students from any scientific discipline, including pharmacy and data science.
- Research should be relevant to the pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare industries.

Fellowship for Agricultural Science
- Available for master’s and PhD students in all scientific disciplines, including data science.
- Research must be aligned with the Crop Science industry.

Fellowship for Medical Sciences
- Open to students in human and veterinary medicine.
- Also available for master’s and PhD students in medical engineering, applied medical sciences, public health, and data science in medicine.

Fellowship for Climate & Health (New!)
- Open to students in human and veterinary medicine, as well as master’s and PhD students in pharmacy, public health, epidemiology, and natural sciences.
- Research must focus on the impact of climate change on health.
Fellowship for STEM Teachers & Educators
- Available to trainee teachers or pedagogy students (Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD, Staatsexamen) in Germany specializing in STEM subjects.
- Also open to newly qualified teachers (less than three years of experience) and primary school teachers focused on STEM education.
Fellowship for Apprentices & Early Career Professionals
- Open to apprentices, dual students, or early career professionals without a university degree and with less than five years of work experience.
- Applicants must be currently pursuing their profession or apprenticeship in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland.
- Strongly encourages applications from parents with children and those for whom German is a second language.

- Duration:
- Scientific Fellowships: Up to six months
- Fellowships for STEM Teachers & Apprentices: Up to twelve months

- Geographical Requirements:
- Students in Germany must conduct their placements in another country.
