Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity Program 2025 – Fully Funded Leadership Fellowship for Emerging Global Leaders in Health Equity

The Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity (AFHE) program is a prestigious initiative designed to develop global leaders dedicated to eliminating health disparities. This fully funded fellowship offers a unique opportunity for professionals across diverse sectors—such as healthcare, law, journalism, business, academia, and social enterprise—to collaborate and drive impactful change in health equity. Fellows will engage in immersive learning experiences, leadership development, and interdisciplinary collaboration to build a powerful network committed to addressing health inequalities worldwide.


Who Can Apply?

This fellowship is open to individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Career Stage: Early to mid-career professionals involved in health-related work.

  • Leadership Potential: Applicants should demonstrate leadership capabilities and a strong commitment to advancing health equity.

  • Current Role: Must be in a leadership position or a role with significant leadership potential.

  • Collaborative Mindset: Willingness to engage with diverse perspectives and work effectively in a group setting.

  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English is required for participation.

  • Global Eligibility: Open to applicants from all countries.


Program Structure & Benefits

The fellowship blends both in-person and virtual learning, ensuring a comprehensive educational experience:

  • Duration: A one-year commitment, including four weeks of in-person engagement and 12–16 hours of online participation per month.

  • Fully Funded: All travel, accommodation, and educational expenses are covered.

  • Learning Components: The program includes biweekly online courses, personalized coaching, peer mentorship, and team-based learning.

  • Networking & Collaboration: Fellows gain access to a vast international network of experts and professionals working in health equity.


Application Process & Requirements

Applicants must submit the following documents:

1. Statement of Interest (500 words max)

  • Highlight key leadership qualities and strengths.

  • Outline experience and contributions in health equity.

  • Describe career goals and plans for driving change in health equity.

2. Project Proposal (500 words max)

  • Provide an overview of the proposed health equity project.

  • Define goals, vision, and expected impact.

  • Present a structured timeline with measurable milestones.

  • Detail institutional support (financial or in-kind assistance).

3. Supporting Documents

  • Employer Support Form: Signed by a supervisor, confirming organizational backing.

  • Two Letters of Recommendation: At least one should be from a current supervisor.

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Resume: Outlining professional and academic background.

  • Voluntary Self-Identification Form (Optional): Encouraged for demographic insights.

  • April 10, 2025: Application deadline

  • June 2025: First-round interviews

  • July 2025: Second-round interviews

  • August 2025: Final selection and notifications
