Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidates applying for the University of St Andrews International Excellence Scholarships should be International students outside of the European Union.
  • The applicants should be entering the first year of their undergraduate degree.
  • The scholarship is available in all fields except for Medicine.
  • The candidates applying for BA International Honors are not eligible.
  • International students having an overseas fee status who plan to begin their undergraduate studies at St Andrews are eligible for the International Excellence Scholarship.
  • The Selection Committee is looking for candidates who thrive academically and are exceptional students. The chosen scholars will be required to represent the university at various events and act as student ambassadors.

Application Process

One is free to apply for the St. Andrews International Excellence Scholarship alongside with applying for a course. Here’s a step by step guide for the application process.

  1. Log In & Choose: Log in to ‘My Application’ (in case of a recent application, wait for the next working day) and choose ‘Scholarships and Funding’ under the Useful Link section, then choose View the scholarships and funding catalog.
  2. Enter Details: Under ‘Funding Search’, fill in the academic year, award type (best suited to requirement) and study level (ignore domicile country and school boxes). 
  3. Search, Select and Apply: A list of scholarships would appear, in case of a specific scholarship, search in the ‘Filter’ box. Then proceed to apply for the scholarship best suited.
  4. In case of Error: The option to edit, correct and reapplying is available in case of any errors occurring.
