The Migration Youth and Children Platform (MYCP) is dedicated to removing educational barriers for young migrants and refugees. Understanding that language proficiency requirements often act as a major hurdle, MYCP is providing Duolingo English Test scholarships to support displaced youth in pursuing higher education.

Why This Scholarship is Important

Many universities worldwide require proof of English proficiency, making it difficult for young migrants and refugees to access higher education. Limited access to language certification resources further worsens the issue, preventing deserving students from advancing academically. The MYCP Duolingo Scholarship addresses this challenge by offering free access to the Duolingo English Test, a globally accepted certification recognized by numerous institutions.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must:

Be a migrant or refugee under the age of 32 (Youth on the Move).
Plan to apply for a bachelor’s or master’s degree at a university that accepts the Duolingo English Test within the next six months.
Have encountered difficulties in accessing education due to systemic challenges, such as being part of an underrepresented community, coming from a low-income background, or being a first-generation college applicant.

Application Deadline

The last date to apply for the scholarship is March 7, 2025.
