Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered for the WMI Scholars Program 2025:
Must be 35 years old or younger as of August 1, 2025
Have completed or be in the final year of secondary education with above-average academic performance
Be applying for or currently enrolled in their first undergraduate degree
Must study in their home country or another developing country
Plan to reside and work in their home country after graduation
Have participated in volunteer or community service activities
Require financial assistance but have some available funding
Family members of WMI staff and scholars are ineligible
Students intending to study in the US, Canada, Australia, UK, or Western Europe do not qualify

Completed WMI application form for 2025
Recent passport-sized photograph
Personal essay statement (as per application guidelines)
Two recommendation letters on official letterhead
Official transcripts from secondary school
Official grading key to interpret secondary school grades
