The Club of Rome Communications Fellowship 2025 is an exciting seven-month, full-time remote program designed for early-career professionals passionate about sustainability and systems change. This paid opportunity aims to enhance diverse voices in sustainability communication while providing invaluable hands-on experience.
The fellowship is structured as a mentorship program, allowing fellows to work closely with The Club of Rome’s communications team. Participants will develop skills in conveying complex sustainability concepts to a broader audience, helping bridge the gap between scientific research and public understanding.
As part of this experience, fellows will engage in various communication-related activities, including:
Web content management
Media outreach and relations
Event coverage
Multimedia content creation
Social media management
The program includes a stipend to assist with living expenses, and work-related travel costs will be covered. While the fellowship is entirely remote, participants will have the opportunity to travel once to meet with members of The Club of Rome team.
The Club of Rome seeks applicants who:
Hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in science or journalism, or are students/recent graduates of a science journalism program.
Have experience in writing about sustainability and systems thinking for a general audience or producing relevant multimedia content.
Are fluent in English and capable of effectively communicating scientific concepts.
Have experience with or a keen interest in social media, video production, photography, or multimedia storytelling.
Align with The Club of Rome’s values and vision.
While applicants from Most of the World will be prioritised, the opportunity is open to candidates from all countries.
