Celebrating 40 Years of Feminist Advocacy: DAWN Fellowship for Young Women

Development Alternatives with Women for a New Era (DAWN) is a pioneering feminist network that has been at the forefront of advocating for gender and economic justice since its establishment in 1984. Dedicated to fostering sustainable and democratic development, DAWN actively engages in research, advocacy, and mobilization efforts to challenge inequitable social, economic, and political structures.

To mark its 40th anniversary, DAWN is launching a new fellowship program aimed at empowering young women feminists from the Global South. This initiative focuses on The Political Economy of Gender-Based Violence and Conflict, providing a platform for emerging feminist voices to contribute to public discourse and deepen the understanding of gendered violence in conflict-affected regions.
