Mentor Recruitment Open for Moving Minds Alliance (MMA) Research Fellowship

The Moving Minds Alliance (MMA) Research Fellowship Program is seeking experienced researchers to serve as mentors for its 2025-26 cohort, which focuses on Early Childhood Development (ECD) in Climate Emergencies. This 12-month program supports local researchers in the Global South, and mentors will play a vital role in guiding fellows through their research journey.


Role & Responsibilities

Mentors will be paired with fellows based on research interests, location, or cultural alignment. Their key responsibilities include:

  • Providing research guidance and constructive feedback
  • Sharing knowledge and expertise in relevant research areas
  • Collaborating and supporting fellows in their professional growth
  • Maintaining regular communication and availability for at least four mentorship meetings

Who Can Apply?

MMA is looking for seasoned researchers who:

  • Have proven expertise in early childhood development, climate emergencies, or related fields
  • Possess experience conducting research in the Global South or emergency settings
  • Demonstrate strong mentorship and coaching skills
  • Are familiar with ethical research principles and best practices
  • Are passionate about building research capacity in crisis-affected regions

Compensation & Commitment

Mentors will receive a quarterly stipend of $500, provided they:

  • Maintain regular engagement with their assigned fellow
  • Participate in quarterly check-ins with the MMA Fellowship Team
  • Conduct at least four mentorship meetings (excluding the launch meeting)

Note: While fellows may conduct research in other languages, all mentorship and communication with MMA staff must be in English. Translation support will be provided for the final research report if needed.
