The Global STEM Leadership Master’s Scholarship Program offers an exceptional opportunity for ambitious students with leadership potential in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). This scholarship not only provides financial assistance but also equips students with the skills and international exposure necessary to thrive in the ever-evolving STEM disciplines.

Scholarship Overview

A total of 25 scholarships are available, offering significant financial support for students pursuing their Master’s studies at the School of Science & Technology. These scholarships aim to reward high-achieving students who demonstrate academic excellence and leadership potential. The breakdown of the scholarships is as follows:

10 scholarships covering 75% of tuition fees.
15 scholarships covering 50% of tuition fees.

In addition to the financial aid, recipients will gain international exposure, studying in the UK and engaging with a global network of scholars. This scholarship is a valuable opportunity to gain advanced knowledge and skills while contributing to the growth and advancement of STEM disciplines.

Eligibility Criteria

The scholarship is open to both domestic and international students, including those from the EU.
It is available for all full-time Master’s level programmes offered by the School of Science & Technology, except for fully online MSc programmes.
Applicants must demonstrate a strong academic record, leadership qualities, and a passion for STEM.

Terms and Conditions

The scholarship is provided as a fee-waiver, applied to the final payable instalment in any given year.
If the scholarship covers 50% of the tuition fee, students are required to pay the remaining 50% upfront. Similarly, for 75% coverage, students will pay 25% upfront.
Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the Scholarship Panel, and decisions are final.
Students must be enrolled in one of the participating courses and pay the full fee for the scholarship to apply.
The scholarship will not be recorded on the degree certificate, but references for successful students may mention the scholarship.
Recipients are required to submit a report at the end of their studies reflecting on their experience at City, University of London.
This scholarship cannot be combined with other funding provided by the University.

Application Process

To apply for the Global STEM Leadership Master’s Scholarship, applicants must first submit an application for a Master’s course at the School of Science & Technology. Once the course application is submitted, candidates will need to apply for the scholarship separately.

The application will require applicants to demonstrate:

Academic Achievement: A solid academic background in STEM-related subjects.
Leadership Potential: Evidence of past leadership roles or projects, demonstrating the ability to lead and inspire others.
Vision for the Future of STEM: A forward-thinking approach to how the chosen STEM field will evolve and your role in shaping that future.
Communication Skills: The ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a video conference interview in June, where they will have the chance to further discuss their qualifications and aspirations. All applications will be evaluated by senior academics from the School of Science & Technology.
