Are you an ambitious student from a non-EEA country, eager to pursue a master's degree at a top-tier university in the Netherlands? The Radboud Scholarship Programme is an excellent opportunity for talented and motivated individuals to study at Radboud University with substantial financial support. This highly selective scholarship is designed for students with exceptional academic records who wish to enroll in an English-taught master's programme at one of the leading universities in Europe.

Scope of the Programme

The Radboud Scholarship offers substantial financial benefits, making it a highly competitive and sought-after opportunity. Here’s what the scholarship covers:

  • Tuition Fee Reduction: The scholarship reduces the tuition fee from €18,000 to €2,601 for the academic year 2025/2026, significantly lowering the cost of education.
  • Visa and Residence Permit: The scholarship covers the costs associated with obtaining a visa and residence permit to study in the Netherlands.
  • Health and Liability Insurance: The scholarship provides Aon Student Insurance to cover health and liability insurance during your stay in the Netherlands.

Please note that the scholarship does not cover living expenses or the costs of studying (books, travel, accommodation, etc.), so students must plan accordingly.

Availability of Scholarships

For the 2025/2026 academic year, a total of 18 Radboud Scholarships will be awarded, distributed across various faculties:

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Radboud Scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Non-EEA Citizenship: You must hold a passport from a non-EU/EEA country.

  • Full-Time Enrollment: You must be enrolled as a full-time student for the master’s programme in which the scholarship will be awarded.

Additionally, if you are admitted to a two-year master's programme, you must pass all courses in the first year to be eligible for the scholarship for the second year.

Application Process

The application process for the Radboud Scholarship involves two separate stages: admission to the master's programme and scholarship selection. Follow these steps to apply:

  1. Admission Application: First, submit your application for admission to the English-taught master’s programme of your choice via the OSIRIS Application system.

  2. Scholarship Application: During the admission process, indicate that you wish to apply for the Radboud Scholarship.

  3. Additional Documents: You will be asked to submit three additional documents for the scholarship application:

    • Two reference letters
    • Curriculum Vitae (CV)

If you have already uploaded these documents for your master's programme application, you can submit the same documents for the scholarship application.

  4. Separate Processes: Keep in mind that the scholarship selection is independent of the admission process. Admission to the master’s programme does not guarantee selection for the scholarship.

Application Deadlines

  • 31 January 2025: Submit your application for admission through the OSIRIS Application system.
  • 14 February 2025: Ensure your application is complete, including all required documents (such as English proficiency proof). Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • Mid-April 2025: You will be informed about the final decision regarding your scholarship application.
