- Medically fit.
- Not in receipt of another scholarship.

- Hold a bachelor's degree with a “Very Good” academic standing.
- Preferably have research or work experience.
- Submit a research proposal relevant to the community's development.

Ph.D.:
- Hold a master’s degree with a “Very Good” academic standing.
- Submit a development-focused research proposal.

Postdoctoral Research:
- Possess a Ph.D. with at least two years of research experience.
- Have a proven record of publications in the chosen field.

- Citizens of IsDB Least Developed Member Countries (LDMCs).
- Completed high school with good grades.
