It covers the full tuition for both the Master's and MBA programs, allowing recipients to combine a one-year Master's course with an MBA, known as the 1+1 MBA programme.

What is the Oxford-Pershing Square Graduate Scholarship?

The Oxford-Pershing Square Graduate Scholarships provide up to five full awards each year, allowing scholars to pursue any of the Oxford 1+1 MBA partnering programs. This dual-degree opportunity combines academic rigor with entrepreneurial leadership, offering a transformative experience in tackling the world’s most pressing social challenges. The scholarship also includes a living cost grant of at least £19,237 per year for both years of study.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Oxford-Pershing Square Graduate Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. New Applicants to the Oxford 1+1 MBA Programme:

    • You must be admitted to both a 1+1 MBA partnering programme and the MBA before being considered for the scholarship. Applicants on the waiting list will not be considered.
  2. Applicants Admitted to a Master's Programme Not on the 1+1 MBA Partnering List:

    • You must be admitted to both a full-time one-year master’s course and the MBA as separate applications.
  3. Current Master’s Students Admitted to the MBA:

    • If you were not considered for the scholarship in the previous year, you can apply this year.

Selection Criteria

The Oxford-Pershing Square Graduate Scholarship seeks outstanding individuals with the following qualities:

  1. Academic Achievement: Demonstrated through degree results, GMAT or GRE scores, academic awards, and other achievements.
  2. Leadership Potential: Shown through experience and motivation to lead initiatives.
  3. Strong Character: Integrity, commitment, and resilience in the face of challenges.
  4. Vision for Social Change: A focus on addressing world-scale social challenges through leadership in existing organisations or by developing new enterprises.
  5. Scalable and Sustainable Solutions: The ability to envision and execute solutions to these challenges.
  6. Clear Articulated Vision: A well-defined explanation of how the Oxford 1+1 MBA will help achieve your goals and contribute to your development.

Application Process

To apply for the Oxford-Pershing Square Graduate Scholarship, you must follow these steps:

  1. Submit Complete Applications: Apply for both the Oxford 1+1 MBA programme and the chosen Master's programme.

  2. Upload Scholarship Essay: In the 'Funding' section of the 1+1 MBA programme application, upload a scholarship essay answering the following question (no more than 500 words):
    "How do you intend to change the world, and what does this tell us about you as a person?"

  3. Application Deadlines:

    • Oxford 1+1 MBA Deadline: January 6, 2025.
    • Master’s Programme Deadline: As per the specific programme’s requirements, either in December or January.

Selection Process

  • Shortlisting: Planned for early April.
  • Interviews: Candidates shortlisted for interviews will be invited in late April or early May.
