The Gender Equity/GBV Evidence Accelerator Fellowship is a prestigious year-long, part-time program designed to support practitioners, professionals, and scholars working on gender equity and gender-based violence (GBV) in low- and middle-income countries. Offered by the Center for Global Women’s Health and Gender Equity (CGWHGE) at Johns Hopkins University, this fellowship is an opportunity for individuals passionate about gender equality to enhance their expertise in evidence generation, analysis, synthesis, and translation in the critical field of gender-based violence.
The fellowship is a unique opportunity to gain mentorship from Johns Hopkins faculty and engage in coursework from the renowned Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (BSPH). Participants will deepen their understanding of GBV issues, focusing on generating, analyzing, and using evidence to improve gender equity programs and policies. The program also provides professional networking opportunities through virtual events and one in-person cohort gathering, enriching fellows’ learning and connections with other global leaders in the field.
Fellows will work on a mini-project, such as secondary data analysis or evidence synthesis, with the support of CGWHGE faculty. This practical project will allow fellows to apply what they learn in real-world contexts, enhancing their ability to drive gender equity initiatives effectively.
The program is designed for those committed to advancing the impact of their work in gender equity and GBV. The estimated time commitment is approximately 10 hours per week, increasing to 20 hours per week during the coursework periods.
