  • The scholarship will be credited towards the compulsory fees for the first semester of study, including the relevant programme of study and student services fee.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the University of Auckland International Student Excellence Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Required Language: English
  • Eligible Countries: All international students from countries other than New Zealand and Australia.
  • Program Requirements:
    • The scholarship is available for undergraduate, master’s taught degrees, and postgraduate diplomas.
    • Students enrolling in research master’s programmes are not eligible.
    • The scholarship is only available to students enrolling as “on-campus” students (distance education students are not eligible).
    • Undergraduate students from the University of Auckland Foundation Providers (UP Education and Taylors College) and New Zealand secondary-school leavers are ineligible.
  • Other Requirements:
    • The scholarship cannot be deferred, and a new application will be required if the student defers their studies.
    • International students must apply for a Masters (taught) of 120 points or more or an undergraduate degree with overseas secondary or post-secondary qualifications.
