The Macquarie University Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship offers the following benefits:

Eligibility Criteria for the Macquarie University Scholarship
To qualify for the Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Language Requirement: English
- Eligible Countries: All countries except Australia and New Zealand.
- Academic Requirements:
- For Postgraduate applications, a minimum WAM (Weighted Average Mark) equivalent of 65 is required.
- For Undergraduate applications, a minimum ATAR equivalent of 85 is required.
- Acceptance into a Degree: Applicants must be accepted into a Macquarie University Bachelor or Postgraduate Coursework Degree starting in 2025 or 2026.
- Full-Time Enrollment: Applicants must maintain full-time enrollment (8 standard units per academic year) throughout the duration of their course.
- No Deferral: Scholarship recipients cannot defer their admission.
- Academic Progression: Students must comply with the university’s Academic Progression Policy.
- On-Campus Study: This scholarship is only available for on-campus study.
- Exclusions:
- Students receiving any other Macquarie University scholarship are not eligible for this award.
- Students enrolled at Macquarie University International College are not eligible.
- Australian or New Zealand citizens and permanent residents are not eligible.
Application Process
To apply for the Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship, follow these steps:
- Submit an Online Course Application: Complete your course application to receive a Macquarie University Student Number.
- Online Scholarship Application: After receiving your student number, submit the online scholarship application form. Make sure to type “VCIS” in the Scholarship Name field.
