Applications are now open for the prestigious Embedded Intelligence Nanosystems Engineering (EMINENT) Scholarship for the academic years 2025-2027. This fully-funded Erasmus Mundus 2-year Joint Master’s Degree Program, supported by the European Union, offers a unique opportunity for students from across the globe to study at multiple leading universities in Europe.

The EMINENT Scholarship is an incredible opportunity for students in various engineering fields to pursue advanced studies in cutting-edge technologies. The program spans five European countries: Greece, France, Lithuania, Portugal, and Germany. Scholars will complete their Master's degree over two years, studying at two to four different institutions in these countries. The scholarship is fully funded, covering tuition fees, insurance, visa and travel costs, and providing a monthly stipend for living expenses.

Partner Universities

The EMINENT Master’s program is offered by a consortium of five prominent European universities:

  1. Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) – Greece
  2. University of Orleans (UO) – France
  3. Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH) – Lithuania
  4. NOVA University Lisbon (UNL) – Portugal
  5. University of Siegen (USIEGEN) – Germany (Program Coordinator)

Program Structure

  • 1st Semester: Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) in Greece
  • 2nd Semester: University of Siegen (Germany)
  • 3rd Semester: Specialisation at one of the following universities:
    • University of Siegen (Germany)
    • NOVA University Lisbon (Portugal)
    • University of Orleans (France)
    • Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (Lithuania)
  • 4th Semester: Master’s Thesis

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the EMINENT Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Final-year undergraduate students may also apply, provided they submit an official statement from their university indicating their expected graduation date.
  • Proof of English proficiency is not required for applicants from countries where English is the official language.
  • The studies will begin at HMU in Greece by the end of September or early October 2025.
