The Clark Art Institute Fellowship supports postdoctoral scholars in fields such as history, visual culture, theory, and interpretation. It provides an environment conducive to deep intellectual engagement, professional growth, and interdisciplinary exchange.

Scholarship Benefits

  1. Financial Support:

    • Fellowship awards are based on need and earnings, with a maximum stipend of $30,000 per semester.
    • Travel reimbursement for fellows and one family member.

  2. Accommodation:

    • Scholars receive a fully furnished apartment in a historic residence across from the Clark campus. Apartments range from one to two bedrooms with shared common spaces.
    • Amenities include connection to the Clark’s computer network and all necessary services (except long-distance telephone).
    • Note: Pets and smoking are not allowed in the Scholars’ Residence.

  3. Workspaces and Facilities:

    • Fellows are provided with a private office in the Manton Research Center, accessible daily from 8 am to 11 pm.
    • Computers and IT support are available upon request.

Eligibility Criteria
