Scholarship Coverage
The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Scholarship provides comprehensive financial support, including:
- Monthly Stipend: €850 for Master’s students and €1,200 for PhD students
- Health Insurance Subsidy: Up to €120 per month
- Family Allowance: €276, if applicable
- Fee Reimbursement: Up to €1,500 per semester for study-related course fees
- Tuition Fees and Accommodation: Fully covered
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Scholarship, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Academic Qualifications: Must hold a university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent)
- Age Limit: Applicants must be under 30 years of age
- German Language Proficiency: Minimum B2-level
- Academic Performance: Must demonstrate above-average academic achievements
- Social Engagement: Active voluntary work or social commitment in the home country
- Commitment to Democracy: A positive attitude towards democracy and human rights
- Duration of Study: Must plan to study for a minimum of three semesters at a university in Germany
Application Process
There are two ways to apply for the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Scholarship, depending on your country of residence:

International Selection Procedure: If you are from a focus country (Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Latin America, etc.), submit your application directly to the KAS office responsible for your region. For more details, visit the KAS website.

Domestic Selection Procedure: If you are already living or studying in Germany, apply through the online application system on the KAS website. Ensure all documents are uploaded online; physical documents will not be accepted.
Required Documents
Applicants must submit the following documents as part of the application:
- CV: A detailed curriculum vitae, including voluntary or social work experience
- Motivation Letter: Explaining why you are applying and your future goals
- Academic Transcripts: Translated copies of examination certificates and study records
- German Language Proficiency: Proof of B2-level German knowledge
- Academic Recommendation: An informal letter of recommendation from a professor
- Character Reference: A recommendation focusing on your personality and social involvement
- Certificate of Admission: Proof of acceptance from a university in Germany
- For PhD Applicants: A detailed description of your doctoral thesis, second academic recommendation, and confirmation of supervision from your doctoral advisor
Important Dates
