The Neufert-Foundation scholarships are available for students who intend to study abroad and wish to gather international experience, much like the renowned architect Ernst Neufert, after whom the foundation is named. Ernst Neufert's work, which played a significant role in modern architecture, particularly through his book Bauentwurfslehre, inspires the foundation's mission to help young architects explore new international perspectives.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be enrolled in or about to begin a Master’s program in architecture, landscaping, or urban development.
  • Have completed a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, either from a German university or abroad.
  • Demonstrate exceptional academic and creative potential through their portfolio, which must include at least four assignments (including the Bachelor thesis in A3 format).
  • Provide a recommendation from a professor or academic advisor.
  • Show a clear reason for choosing to pursue studies abroad, along with proof of admission to the international university.

Application Process

Candidates are required to submit the following documents:

  • A motivation letter
  • A chronological CV
  • A notarized copy of the Bachelor’s degree and academic transcripts
  • A portfolio with at least four assignments
  • A reference letter from a professor
  • Admission confirmation from the international university
  • A clear explanation of why the applicant chose to study abroad

Applications must be mailed to the Neufert Foundation office in Germany, and applicants are advised not to send them via registered mail.
