The University of Mississippi, also known as Ole Miss, is a renowned institution celebrated for its commitment to academic excellence, research, and a vibrant campus community. One of the many ways Ole Miss supports its diverse student body is through a comprehensive range of scholarships aimed at making education accessible and rewarding for deserving students.
Benefits
The University of Mississippi Scholarships offer the following benefits to recipients:
- The scholarship amounts range from $23,454 to $3,900, covering approximately 95% to 15% of undergraduate tuition (including base and non-resident tuition costs) or 55% to 9% of the total cost of attendance (which includes tuition, housing, meals, books, health insurance, and other expenses).
- Scholarships are typically applied toward non-resident fees and resident tuition costs. They can be combined with other scholarships; however, the total scholarship value cannot exceed the full amount of non-resident or resident tuition fees.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for University of Mississippi Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Language Proficiency: International applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate their English proficiency through one of these accepted tests: PDT TOEFL, TOEFL iBT, TOEFL Paper-Based Test ITP, TOEFL My Best™ Score, IELTS, PTE-A, or Password Skills Test.
- Eligible Nationalities: Applicants from any country worldwide are welcome to apply.
- Academic Program: Candidates must be prospective students enrolling in an undergraduate degree program.
- Academic Performance: International applicants must have a cumulative high school GPA between 3.50 and 4.00 on a 4.00 U.S. scale to be considered.
- High School Requirement: Applicants must have completed their high school education outside of the United States.
Application Process
(1) No separate application for scholarship is required. You only need to apply for undergraduate degree at the university.
(2) Upload the following documents.
- Pre-qualification degree
- Copies of academic transcript,
- Certificates of English language proficiency
- Personal statement
- Copy of passport.
Important Dates
- Deadline:
- For Fall term enrollment: April 1. The Fall semester begins in mid-August.
- For Spring term enrollment: October 1. The Spring semester begins in mid-January.
