La Trobe University, one of Australia’s leading institutions for higher education, is committed to fostering academic excellence and supporting students in their pursuit of knowledge. The La Trobe Academic Excellence Scholarships (AES) are designed to reward high-achieving students and help them achieve their academic and career aspirations.
The La Trobe Academic Excellence Scholarships aim to recognize and support exceptional students who demonstrate outstanding academic performance and a commitment to their studies. These scholarships are available to both domestic and international students enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate courses at La Trobe University.
La Trobe University values diversity and inclusivity, and the AES program reflects this ethos by encouraging students from various backgrounds to apply and benefit from financial assistance.
Benefits
- The scholarships are non-renewable tuition fee awards of A$10,000-$20,000 paid across a maximum period of two semesters (or twelve months).
- Recipients of the scholarship would be required to pay for any difference in fees for their first two semesters, fees for the remainder of their course and also Overseas Student Health Cover.
- These scholarships are not renewable and do not cover living costs.
- Continuation of the scholarship into a second semester (where relevant) is subject to satisfactory progress and continued enrolment in the program of study for which the scholarship was awarded.
Eligibility Criteria
- You must be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand and be applying to start an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program.
- You must also have scored 85% or equivalent in your previous degree/award, and meet our English language and academic entry requirements.
- You are not eligible if you are starting a Higher Degree by Research, exchange program, Study Abroad program, ELICOS and Foundation Studies program, or Diploma course.
Application Process
- Prepare Your Documents: Ensure you have an unconditional offer from La Trobe, along with academic transcripts, English proficiency scores, and any relevant extracurricular or achievement awards.
- Create a 3-Minute Video: Share your vision on “How do you envision making an impact on your community as a graduate of La Trobe University?”
- Complete the Application Form.
