Are you driven to restore harmony between humanity, culture, and nature? Do you wonder how art, heritage, and human connection can help solve the pressing environmental challenges our planet faces today? If so, the Nature Culture Fellowship (NCF) offers a transformative opportunity for those eager to reshape the way we relate to the earth, each other, and all living beings.
The NCF invites changemakers, artists, conservationists, and community leaders to embark on a unique international learning journey rooted in care, respect, and creativity. The fellowship aims to reimagine the systems shaping society, encouraging participants to reflect on their role in the web of life and engage in collective work to build new cultural narratives grounded in belonging, imagination, and social healing.
The program begins with a three-month online exploration (May–July 2025), where fellows engage in weekly sessions every Friday at 14:30 UTC. These sessions provide space for participants to reflect on identity, place, community, and ecological grief, while fostering an understanding of the interconnectedness of all life. Participants from diverse backgrounds will share their experiences and engage in embodied learning, cultural reflection, and storytelling.
After the online sessions, 40 selected fellows will receive financial support to implement community-based projects from August to December 2025. These projects will incorporate traditional practices, creative expression, and intergenerational learning, with a focus on regenerative values and bold visions for the future.
Rather than focusing on policy solutions or technical fixes, the NCF prioritizes the importance of relationship-building, creative experimentation, and the integration of traditional knowledge. Participants will explore how rituals, storytelling, music, and art can serve as tools for healing and social transformation. This fellowship encourages fellows to step into creative leadership, fostering cultural and ecological transformation through humility, reciprocity, and respect for diverse perspectives.
The program welcomes individuals who are committed to rethinking the systems that perpetuate ecological crises and who believe that cultural narratives hold immense power for real, systemic change. If you feel called to explore the emotional and cultural dimensions of ecological challenges, this fellowship offers a chance to contribute to healing both personally and collectively.
The Nature Cultural Fellowship unfolds over three transformative phases, guiding fellows from reflection to action:
Phase 1: Tending the Soil (May–June) Fellows begin by exploring stories and culture, addressing systems of oppression, and reconnecting with living systems. Through collective grief work, rituals of reckoning, and reflection on power dynamics, fellows will engage in practices that allow for deep introspection and release of old patterns.
Phase 2: World of Possibilities (June–July) The second phase focuses on reciprocal listening, renewal practices, and imagination. Fellows begin developing project ideas, shaped through peer feedback and collaborative support, to explore creative and regenerative possibilities for their communities.
Phase 3: Seeding Regenerative Futures (August–December) In the final phase, fellows will receive mentorship and financial support to implement their projects. Fellows will experiment with ideas, adapt them to their local contexts, and share their insights with others, culminating in a celebration of their journey and the impact of their work.
The NCF provides a transformative learning experience that combines creativity, culture, and ecological connection. Over the course of three months, fellows will engage in deeply reflective and interactive sessions that nurture personal growth and cultural awareness. Fellows also gain access to financial support for implementing community-rooted projects that weave together art, ancestral knowledge, and intergenerational learning. Beyond funding, fellows become part of an international network of changemakers dedicated to cultural and ecological transformation.
